Paintings From Rose Cottage

Sometimes things don’t always go as planned. However, as I can often be heard saying…work is a wonderful restorative. Painting gives me that release. It can express what you feel, record a moment in time and document your surroundings.

I returned from Ireland a very different person. My work is taking a bit of a turn and I think it’s best I get out of its way. I’m opening up and processing it all. In the last three weeks of my stay there I painted a series of small paintings, the first of which you are now viewing. I let them come out how they needed to at the time because that’s what was necessary. They will blossom into a series of larger works that will fully realize the vision I have for them. I have held them close for a number of reasons but paintings should be seen. Over the course of the next two weeks I’ll keep adding them to the gallery.

Thank you for your patience. I know I haven’t written an update in quite a while.

Warmly,

Lazarus
